The non-intercooled L series has a mechanical injection pump so cannot be chipped, remapped or have a tuning box fitted.
But don't despair, you won't believe the performance improvements which can be made RIGHT FROM BELOW 1500rpm.
It costs absolutely nothing but a few minutes of your time.
Some tuning firms call step 1 "optimisation" and charge upwards of £150. They would justify this by citing the dramatic improvements in performance, even from below 1500rpm.
