ROVERRON TUNING
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
1) Why do you not have a telephone number that I can contact you on?
My time is taken assembling and testing my products, replying to many daily emails and helping out owners where I can on the MG-Rover.org forum, so taking phone calls as well is simply impossible. Sorry.
2) Can I phone you with my credit / debit card number?
No, all payments are processed online by Paypal's secure servers. You can either pay using your Paypal account. OR with a credit card if you do not have a Paypal account.
3) Do you offer a fitting service?
Yes, if you live within a 25mile radius of Perth, Tayside, otherwise you should have no problem fitting the modules yourself. All come with illustrated instructions and prompt help is available by email.
4) Why are your prices much less than other tuning companies?
There are several reasons for this, I work from home so my overheads are very low, I sell direct to owners so I don't need to build a dealer margin into the price, and most importantly, believe that keeping the price affordable means more owners will take the plunge and find out how much more enjoyable their Rover, MG or Freelander is with one of my modules connected.
5) Can you tell me how much more my insurance company will charge?
This I can't answer except to say that each company has their own policy and it must also depend upon your claims history! Many owners aren't surcharged at all, others by anything up to £100 or so. If your insurance company declines to cover the module, you should be able to shop around, or try Adrian Flux and get cover possibly for less than you are currently paying. Personally, in view of the extra driveability and performance, a reasonable extra amount is worth paying. After all, you'd be paying more for any other diesel with similar performance I would imagine.
6) Do I need to inform the DVLA.
Not as far as I know.
7) Will I have to remove the unit for the MOT test.
No, you can leave it connected and switched on.
