DIGIBOOSTER

THE DIGIBOOSTERS. MORE DETAILS HERE

The Digiboosters are turbo controllers and available in two forms.

Digibooster 1 LE is for engines where the ecu already controls the boost pressure, and allows this to be increased by 3-5psi. It simply plugs into the existing map sensor. Don't forget to include vehicle details on the checkout page. It has a second important use and that is, it allows you to increase the boost on a non ecu controlled wastegate turbo using a mechanical bleed valve, but still avoid ecu problems if it detects the raised pressure and cuts the fuel or invokes limp mode.

The Digibooster S range are standalone controllers for engines where the ecu does not control the turbo, or for mechanically injected engines. They are easy to fit and come with tubing and a tee for the brake vacuum line. We now manufacture our own remote sensor which operates from 1 to 3bar of boost pressure - easily adjusted from the Digibooster S. Available with our map sensor and / or our high quality German Pierburgh boost control Valve (N75 pressure converter valve).

The basic model uses your existing map sensor so we need know which type you have and of course the boost pressure must be used within its operating range. If you have a boost control valve, it must be a vacuum & not a pressure type, however we recommend our version or a VW N75 valve. If using your own, we need a photo of the connector as we only have connectors for VW and Vauxhall/Saab types, not Peugeot/Citroen/Ford versions.

From April 2018, we've altered the TPS processing to give vane movement proportional to throttle pedal position (5 stages) rather than just an overboost on full throttle. There is also the option to enable a zero throttle - low boost mode which reduces the vacuum to minimise back pressure on the over run and when idling.

Now tested with the VW vacuum actuator shown below with 3pin position sensor connector (sensor not used)

DIGIBOOSTER SELECTOR:

Mechanically injected engine: DGBS Full kit

Electronically injected engine with non ecu controlled turbo being replaced with vnt type: DGBS + BCV (assumes we can use your existing map sensor)

Electronically injected engine with ecu controlled turbo being replaced with vnt type: DGBS. (assumes we can use your boost control valve and map sensor)

BRIEF FITTING GUIDE.

The DGBS requires a 12v ignition switched supply via a relay (not supplied) and the remote map sensor connecting to either the turbo compressor outlet or the inlet manifold. The supplied tee is fitted into the brake vacuum line and thence to the smaller port on the bcv with the tubing provided. Finally the larger tubing it used to connect the larger port on the bcv to the vacuum actuator on the turbo.

The TPS input now (from 1/5/18) provides a new enhancement which enables you to adjust the boost increase when full throttle is used. (there are 5 intermediate throttle pedal dependent vane positions which are not adjustable)
